This is one of the most recognized works of Japanese art in the world. It depicts an enormous wave threatening boats near the Japanese prefecture of Kanagawa. The original was painted by artist Katsushika Hokusai in 1830. Mount Fuji can be seen in the background of this lovely wall tapestry.
