A tapestry reproduction of the famous Unicorn tapestry series from the Middle Ages. Here, we have a very wide tapestry featuring the hunters on the left and the captive unicorn on the right, combining two of the seven big tapestries in the "Tapestries of the Unicorn" series. The Unicorn Hunt tapestry is the first in the series, showing the noble man's hunt for the unicorn. The Unicorn in Captivity is the last in a unicorn tapestry series in the collection of medieval art housed at The Cloisters. Together, they illustrate the unicorn myth, which was rich with symbolism. No hunter could capture the unicorn without the aid of a maiden, to whom the beast would willingly surrender.

We ship worldwide for free. All items ship from the United States. (For international orders, see our important note below.)

European Woven Tapestries:
The majority are in stock and ship within 3 business days from our USA warehouse. If not in stock, the tapestry will be brought in from Europe, which typically takes 2-4 weeks. Occasionally it can take longer.

USA Woven Tapestries:
These are made-to-order. Typical production time is 2-4 weeks. Occasionally it can take longer, such as during high volume times.

Please Keep in Mind:
Listed shipping times are typical, but delays occur occasionally for a variety of reasons. We truly appreciate your patience when this happens! Tracking numbers are emailed as items ship.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: Orders shipped to locations outside of the USA may be subject to import/duty fees. This can typically run between 5-20% of the value of the order, although they can be more, or no fees may be imposed at all. If imposed, these fees are due to release the package for delivery once it arrives in your country.
