These tapestries are woven to order in North Carolina, USA. Production time is typically between 1-4 weeks, although individual product pages may reflect a more currently accurate estimate. Occasionally, tapestries will take longer to come out of production than the stated estimate. This could be due to factors such as during high volume times, limited staff over Covid concerns and/or a loom being down. We ask for your patience at such times. Tracking numbers are emailed as items ship.

European Woven Tapestries (Item numbers beginning with W)

Many of our European woven tapestries are in stock here in the USA and will ship within 5 business days. If not in stock, the tapestry will be brought in from Europe, whichtypicallytakes 2-4 weeks. Occasionally this can take longer. We ask for your patience when such is the case. Tracking numbers are emailed as items ship.

Please Remember... Shipping time frames are approximate. Sometimes orders ship sooner than expected, sometimes they ship later than expected. Shipping time frames do not include transit time.

*Returned goods totalling over $1,000 are subject to a 10% restocking fee. Returns from outside the USA must pay return expenses. Upon confirmed return delivery we will issue your refund. Returns initiated beyond the 30 day window will incur a penalty or may not be refunded.

Tapestries only come in the size(s) shown with the exception of our exclusives, which can typically be made into any size.

No. All images are woven into the tapestries. These are high quality tapestries.

There are a few factors involved.

1) The cost of production is more.

2) They sometimes utilize more costly materials, such as wool.

3) They are typically thicker.

4) They are imported from Europe, which involves shipping and custom fees.

We have a line of hand-woven tapestries. The rest of the tapestries on our site are machine woven on jacquard looms. Each tapestry is hand finished and is therefore unique. Thus, sizes will occasionally vary by up to a few inches from the listed size.

To remove wrinkles or creases, iron the back of the tapestry first, using a steam iron on a medium setting. If you still need to iron the front, place a thin cloth between the fabric and the iron to avoid scorching the fibers. Using a steamer on the front side also works well and is safe.

Once mounted on a wall, your tapestry should require very little maintenance. Vacuum your tapestry once or twice a year with your vacuum cleaner's upholstery attachment to remove dust.
