The Mulberry Tree Belgian tapestry is inspired by the work of the famous painter Vincent Van Gogh. Following the famous ear incident, Van Gogh went to stay at the Saint Paul Asylum in Saint-Remy. He was there for about a year, from May 1889 to May 1890, the Mulberry Tree shows a tree from the garden of that asylum. This tapestry rendition displays the beautifully painted mulberry tree with stunning shades of oranges, reds, and yellows. The tree stands tall along a rocky hillside in front of a blue sky that creates a great backdrop for the fiery colored tree.
